2025 Edmonton Urban Design Award Winner- Urban Fragments Category

Parallax is a playful, open shade structure with a twist.

The second annual K-Days Design Competition (2024), hosted collaboratively between MADE and Explore Edmonton, was themed Throwing Shade.

Next Architecture's entry - Parallax - won the competition. Entuitive provided structural consultation, Love Alberta Forests provided the wood, and Onetwosix Design were brought on as fabricators to see the project realized.

Parallax has been recently awarded an Award of Merit at the 2025 Edmonton Urban Design Awards. We are very proud of the work that was put into this project.
