Cliff Salanguit
Architect, AAA
Cliff has worked in the industry for over 25 years as a participant on both the consulting side and the client side of many projects. This dual perspective provides increased collaboration and understanding of involved stakeholders. Problem solving and a drive to consensus are two of Cliff’s strong suits. He is motivated by helping clients determine their needs and synthesizing those to create multiple solutions that work within the prescribed constraints. This in turn allows clients to make the best decisions based on a fulsome understanding of the impact and consequences of each option.
Since his earliest days, Cliff has been a designer, always interested in the story behind the design and construction of the built environment, with interests ranging from residential buildings to sports facilities. His career development has been a steady and natural progression, spurred on by drafting courses in high school and culminating with registration as an architect in 2016.
As a university student in the US, Cliff participated in a national philanthropy initiative through the Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity — a cross-country cycling trip from San Francisco to Washington DC, raising money and awareness along the way for people with disabilities. While being focused on the destination has merit, this challenge helped Cliff to realize the importance of enjoying the experience of the journey. This is something he strives to incorporate into his everyday life as well as his professional practice.
